Day-by-Day Walking Holiday Itinerary

1st Day: Individual journey to Titisee

2nd Day: Lake Titisee – Schattenmühle

You start your tour from the ‚Saiger Höhe’ above Lake Titisee and walk via the Hochfirst. From here you enjoy an amazing view onto Titisee, Feldberg and the peaks of the Austrian and Swiss Alps.

The ‚Querweg’-path leads you to the first highlight, the ravine ‚Wutachschlucht’. This nature park houses an exciting unspoilt landscape with romantic gorges and roaring waterfalls.

Details: approx. 5 to 6 hours | 22 km | Up 260 m / Down 630 m.

3rd Day: Schattenmühle – Blumberg

Walk steadily along the river Wutach to Achdorf, where the river is diverted towards the river Rhine. Reach today’s Day Finish Blumberg through the ‚Blumberger Pforte’-gate, a former riverbed located between two mountains. Once there, we recommend you have a look at the well known ‚Sauschwänzlebahn’ (pig tail railway), a steam engine winding through many arches and tight corners on its journey through breathtaking scenery.

Details: approx. 6 hours | 24 km | Up 470 m / Down 450 m.

4th Day: Blumberg – Tengen

Today’s tour leads you away from the path ‚Querweg’. In Randen you find another impressive sight worth a visit: ‚the Blue Stone’, a rock formation consisting of up to 10-metre high basalt columns, which emerged due to an erruption of the Western Hegau volcanoes.

The remaining kilometres take you through a charming stretch of land until you reach your Day 4 Finish Tengen.

Details: approx. 5 to 6 hours | 18 km | Up 410 m / Down 540 m.

5th Day: Tengen – Engen

From Tengen past the bird sanctuaries of the Hegaualb via the Duggenhart, a slightly higher holt, and near the old mailing route. Walk leisurely through an harmonious forested landscape and after a few hours you already arrive at Engen.

Details: approx. 5 hours | 17 km | Up 380 m / Down 350 m.

6th Day: Engen – Singen

The seven Hegau mountains are towering next to eachother. On top of the local mountain at 846 metres in altitude, remnants of the castle ruin Hohenhewen still remain.

From the observation platform marvel at the Hegau mountains and in clear weather conditions even at Lake Constance and the Alps. In the open you walk via summits, past the ruin Mägdeberg all the way to Singen with its countless cultural monuments.

Details: approx. 5 hours | 22 km | Up 280 m / Down 430 m

7th Day: Singen – Radolfzell on Lake Constance

Now you have a choice between two different routes leading to Radolfzell.

The longer tour takes you along the ‚Querweg’ past the picturesque lake Steisslinger See to the ruin Homberg, where you can enjoy a marvellous view over lake Untersee and the island Reichenau region and Mettnau peninsula of Radolfzell. The shorter route leaves the ‚Querweg’ and leads you past the nature reserve Ziegeleiweiher to Lake Constance.

Details: approx. 3,5 to 6 hours | 16 to 25 km | Up 390 m / Down 530 m.

8th Day: Individual departure or extra days
