Walk deep into Höllentalklamm to alpine pasture Höllentalangeralm at the foot of Zugspitze. Take the high altitude path above the gorge to Hupfleitenjoch and cross alpine pastures to Kreuzeck. Overnight stay in Garmisch, take the cable car down.

3rd Day: From Garmisch to Schachenhaus, ‘Wetterstein massif’

The day starts with a walk through a gorge on the foot of Wetterstein. A hiking trail leads steeply uphill onto Königsweg to Schachen castle, once built by King Louis II. Rather unpresumptuous on the outside the inside is very glamorous. Overnight stay in comfortable Schachenhaus.

Details: approx. 4,5 hours | 12 km | Up 1170 m / Down 30 m.

4th Day: From Schachenhaus to Scharnitz, ‘Sunrise’

The climb up to the pass and walk to the border cabin has everything that makes mountain hiking so attractive. Afterwards down into Leutasch valley and on to Scharnitz. In the beginning you cross rocky landscape, then through a little valley and in the end of the day another pass awaits. Possibility of shortcut by bus.

Details: approx. 7,5 hours | 20 km | Up 900 m / Down 1800 m.

5th Day: From Scharnitz to Halleranger Alm, ‘Isar spring’

Transfer deep into Karwendel valley. Comfortable start with walk up to Halleranger alpine pasture which takes about 2 hrs. Take it easy or hike up to Überschalljoch. The next two nights are spent on Halleranger Alm.

Details: approx. 2,5 to 5 hours | 5 km | Up 550 m / Down 0 m.

6th Day: Day off or summit tour Karwendel massif

Today you have a choice: enjoy a relaxing day of rest at the alpine cabin or take a couple of interesting summit tours into the stunning Karwendel massif. According to your mood you can choose between one of our hiking suggestions or relax.

7th Day: From Halleranger Alm to Innsbruck, ‘Karwendel Crossing’

Details: approx. 6 hours | 13 km | Up 1000 m / Down 500 m.

8th Day: Individual departure or extra days
